John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Welcome to Debre Sina Kidan Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church
The Debre Sina Kidan Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church began its journey in the year 2000, supported by the St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Toronto. This collaboration marked the beginning of a dedicated congregation committed to fostering the spiritual and cultural traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo faith in Canada.
In 2016, a significant milestone was achieved when the church acquired its own property at 1248 Kramp Road, Breslau, Ontario. This acquisition provided a permanent home for the congregation, allowing it to grow and thrive within its own space. Since then, Debre Sina Kidan Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church has been a vibrant center of worship and community activities.
The church offers weekly services, including the Holy Communion, Holy Table, and spiritual counseling, which are cornerstones of the Ethiopian Orthodox faith. The church also emphasizes the importance of youth and children's spiritual development, offering dedicated services and programs to nurture the younger members of the congregation. Through the commitment of its members and the grace of God, Debre Sina Kidan Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church continues to serve as a beacon of faith and community for Ethiopians in southwestern Ontario under the Holy Synod Archdiocese of Eastern Canada.
